These are the most popular autumn textiles

Although many of us are reluctant to let summer slip away, autumn is one of most people's favourite seasons. Romantic, idyllic and beautiful, this new season is all about falling leaves, earthy colours and mild temperatures.

After the overwhelming summer heat, a cool breeze feels comforting. At home, rooms get ready for the cold, beds get a little warmer and lighter textiles tend to make way for fuller ones in wool or cotton, sometimes with a long pile, soft and plush.

The colours that rule in autumn

As well as browns and greys, this autumn in particular will be full of earthy tones. Ochres, mustards, terracottas and sand colours will immerse you in a season that is cold outside but that we want to feel warm at home.
