Types of summer sheets
Not all sheets are the same. Fabric is the factor that most affects how they feel on your skin in summer. At Happyfriday we work with the most valued finishes in the textile industry. 150 or 200 thread count? Discover the differences between 150 and 200 threads to choose wisely.
100% cotton percale sheets
Percale is the most popular fabric for summer. It's 100% cotton with a plain weave that gives it a crisp, fresh texture to the touch, like a freshly ironed shirt. Percale softens with use.
Its fabric density of between 150 and 200 threads ensures excellent breathability. Air circulates between the threads and body heat escapes easily, making it the go-to fabric for warm nights. At Happyfriday our percale sheets have a maximum of 200 threads, the perfect balance between freshness and softness.
100% cotton sheets
The whole Happyfriday collection is made from 100% cotton. Cotton is the most recommended material for the hot months because it absorbs moisture, helps regulate temperature and feels soft and pleasant on the skin. It stands up well to washing.

Every print on our summer sheets is born in our design studio in Spain. We work with watercolours, original illustrations and colour palettes inspired by Mediterranean nature.

Materials that look after your rest
100% cotton, the most refreshing fabric
Cotton is the natural fibre par excellence and remains the go-to material for summer bedding. Its hollow tubular structure acts as a natural temperature-regulating system: it absorbs body moisture, carries it to the surface of the fabric and lets it evaporate, keeping a continuous feeling of freshness on the skin.
Cotton stands up well to washing.

Happyfriday designs all its bedding in Cocentaina (Alicante) and prints and makes it in workshops in Spain.

Every print is created in our studio in Cocentaina (Alicante) and printed and made in workshops in Spain. Digital printing works like a large-format printer: it applies the ink directly onto the fabric. That's why it allows prints with many colours, gradients and fine details. All our textiles are certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I: AITEX, an independent laboratory, tests them for substances harmful to health.
How to care for my sheets in summer
Follow these washing instructions to keep their colour and feel for longer. Read our full guide on how to wash your summer sheets to get the most out of your bedding.
• Machine wash at 40 degrees maximum
• Use a neutral liquid detergent. Don't use bleach or too much fabric softener, which reduces the breathability of cotton.
• Always separate whites from colours, especially in the first washes.
• Do not dry clean; tumble dry on a short cycle and do not soak.
• Iron at medium temperature (120–150 degrees) with the fabric slightly damp.
• Store in a dry, ventilated place away from direct light. Rotate between two or three sets to spread the wear.
