Types of summer bedspreads by fabric

Cotton boutis

The boutis is the most popular choice for summer. It's made of two layers of fabric with a thin filling between them (100 grams, 100% polyester siliconised hollow fibre with a feather-like feel) that adds light warmth without weight.

At Happyfriday, our boutis bedspreads combine natural cotton with exclusive prints. Their light weight makes them ideal from May to September, and they also work as a mid-season bedspread in spring and autumn.

Floral and romantic style

The Happyfriday collection is inspired by watercolour prints with floral motifs that bring warmth, colour and a romantic touch. Perfect for anyone who enjoys bright bedrooms full of life. Colours like dusty pink, sage green and sky blue are the stars of this line.

Minimalist and Nordic style

The Blanc collection goes for simple, geometric designs and neutral tones. If your bedroom follows a clean, functional look, these summer bedspreads fit perfectly. Straight lines, subtle stripes and blocks of colour define this range.

Materials that look after your rest

Natural, breathable cotton

All Happyfriday summer bedspreads are made from 100% natural cotton. Cotton is the most recommended fabric for the warmer months because it absorbs moisture, helps regulate temperature and feels soft and pleasant on the skin.

Cotton is a natural, soft and breathable fibre. Our fillings are 100 grams, 100% polyester siliconised hollow fibre.

Made in Spain

Happyfriday designs all its bedspreads in Cocentaina (Alicante) and prints and makes them in workshops in Spain.

Caring for your summer bedspread

Follow these washing instructions to keep its colour and feel for longer. Read our full guide on how to wash your summer bedspread.

• Machine wash at 30–40 degrees on a delicate programme.
• Use a neutral detergent. Don't use bleach or too much fabric softener.
• Air dry or tumble dry on low with a short cycle.
• Can be ironed at medium temperature if 100% cotton. Maximum 150 degrees. Do not soak.
• Store in a dry, ventilated place when not in use

How we work

Every print is created in our studio in Cocentaina (Alicante) and printed and made in workshops in Spain. Digital printing works like a large-format printer: it applies the ink directly onto the fabric. That's why it allows prints with many colours, gradients and fine details. All our textiles are certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I: AITEX, an independent laboratory, tests them for substances harmful to health.
