Percale is a plain-weave fabric with a 200 thread count, giving it a slightly crisp feel at first while remaining fresh and breathable throughout the night. It is ideal for spring and summer, and for people who tend to feel warm or sweat while sleeping. It gradually softens with washing, becoming smoother and more comfortable. Anti-dust-mite and hypoallergenic pillowcases

Care and maintenance of your pillowcases
Pillowcases need to be washed more frequently than any other bedding item. We recommend washing them every 3–5 days to keep them clean and hygienic. See our complete guide on how to wash pillowcases for all fabrics.
- Machine wash at a maximum of 40°C using a delicate or bedding programme.
- Use a neutral liquid detergent. Avoid bleach and regular fabric softener, as they can damage the fibres over time.
- Air dry flat whenever possible. If you use a tumble dryer, choose a low temperature and a short cycle.
- Do not leave dirty pillowcases sitting for too long: the sooner they are washed, the easier stains are to remove and the less the fabric deteriorates.
What pillowcase size do I need for a 150 cm bed?
For a 150 cm bed, you need two pillowcases. The most common sizes are 50x75 cm if you use standard individual pillows, or 45x110 cm if you use long bolster-style pillows. Always check the exact size of your pillow before buying.

How long does a pillowcase last?
With proper care (washing at 40°C and using a mild detergent), a 100% cotton pillowcase can last between 3 and 7 years. Quality percale can even become softer with washing. Replace pillowcases when they lose their softness or show visible signs of wear.
