From drawing the print to the photo that ends up on the product page: Aitana accompanies the collection all the way.

Textile design and illustration

She shapes the prints for each collection: idea, pattern, repeat and colour adjustment until the fabric responds as it should.

Blog layout

She shapes the blog articles: hierarchy, images and reading rhythm, making sure each piece breathes the brand’s identity.

Campaigns and social media

She prepares the marketing campaigns and social media pieces, from the concept to the adaptations for each format.

Support on shoots

She conceives, prepares and decorates the set at our premises. That’s where, together with the photographer, the best ideas come from.

I love music and listen to lots of styles; if you saw my Spotify list, it makes no sense at all. It’s hard to pick one style or artist, but if I had to choose, I’d go for Rock and Arctic Monkeys.

I get completely hooked on Agatha Christie’s mysteries.

Watch

To be honest, there isn’t any film that has especially marked me, but when it comes to series, without a doubt I’d choose Friends. It’s my favourite series. I must have watched it more than 100 times. No joke.

Visit

Los Genoveses beach in Almería. Specifically, the Los Genoveses cliff is where I find the greatest peace.

Eat

Wow! I’m absolutely clear on this! Anything, as long as it has cheese! But well, if I have to pick one, it’s my grandma’s arroz al horno (oven-baked rice).

Ame Soler (@tres.voltes.rebel) is an illustrator who works beautifully with watercolour and also uses it to illustrate feminist and activist messages.

Talk

Happyfriday has given me the opportunity to enter the world of textile design and illustration, which is something I love. I’ve also met very good friends.

When I first started working here, the whole company went to Alcalá del Júcar for a multi-adventure trip. It was great fun; years have passed and we still remember the things that happened to us and cry with laughter. For me, happyfriday is design, teamwork and self-improvement.

Brainstorming

Trends, colour, archives, travel, what you see on the street. She searches for and sifts inputs from everywhere until the idea for the collection appears.

Print, colour and sample

Pattern repeat and colour tests, checked against the physical fabric sample before anything is approved.

Shoot

Concept, preparation and styling of the set at our premises. Together with the photographer, the collection becomes the images you see on the website.
