The spring/summer 22 season at Happyfriday has got off to a strong start: we've just launched the new Raíces editorial, set in the essence and roots of Mediterranean villages.

Who wouldn't love to wake up on a Saturday with the orange rays of the sun on their face? To feel that good, in a village house in the Mediterranean countryside. Staying in bed, just a little bit longer, eyes open and in silence, waiting for the children to come in, because you know they will…

Getting up to make breakfast. The flowers you picked yesterday afternoon still scent the air. It smells of lavender and jasmine. When you open the window, that scent blends with thyme and rosemary, as if they were waiting to come inside. Later you'll make the bed. You catch it in the mirror and notice it even looks pretty unmade, with that book you're hooked on and fell asleep with last night.

Orange juice, croissants and fruit. Outside there's a light, cool breeze that isn't cold, while the sun grows whiter and whiter. The same breeze that stirs the sheets hanging on the line and makes an almost hypnotic sound.

The Raíces capsule collection is inspired by the Mediterranean essence, rural life, going back to our origins and reconnecting with life's little pleasures, by the purity of the land and the beauty of its flora. By that dawn light that only Mediterranean villages have. The five bedding designs are dominated by small wildflowers from the fields, in a variety of cheerful yet subtle colours with a romantic touch.

Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia, Monterosso and Riomaggiore are the 5 designs that make up this collection. Floral in inspiration, with light, neutral backgrounds to bring brightness and simplicity. Each one features different wildflowers in a wide palette of vibrant colours to make your bedroom shine this spring. This bedding line is designed and proudly “Made in Spain”, with natural fibres, 100% cotton, a delight for the senses. At Happyfriday we care for and pamper every awakening by making cotton bedding that is breathable and feels good against the skin.
