It's our anniversary! Meet the family behind the "happy" homes
Ten years dedicated to helping you create more comfort and wellbeing in your home, Happyfriday is celebrating its anniversary! To do so, we have created a capsule collection that includes designs that pay tribute to all the people and stories that have helped us get to this point..
Every personality, every story, has contributed to what we are today - we are delighted to celebrate this decade with you! That's why we have launched the Diez collection.
Ten years of stories
Would you like to know more about the Happyfriday family? Each person is different, with their own tastes, interests and particularities, but together they have managed to forge an indelible bond that has made us the solid brand we are today.
Abel Prats
A follower of some of the most successful literary and film sagas, our accounting manager still remembers the smell of macaroni fresh from his grandmother's oven.
Gastronomy, nature and the social activism that groups like Zoo or La Fúmiga carry out with their lyrics are some of the issues that move him the most.
For Abel, the ideal bed cover is colourful and gradient, with orange as the main colour, ideal to start the day strong!
Aitana Llorens
A music lover with eclectic tastes, designer Aitana Llorens has been contributing her style to dozens of Happyfriday collections and designs for years.
Like Abel, there is one dish whose smell connects her to her childhood: her "iaia" baked rice.
She is left with a duvet cover design in klein blue with constellations. In the same way that each star has its place and is as important as the rest, Aitana's role in this family is key.
Mónica Polonio
This young photographer is responsible for making us want to immerse ourselves between the sheets of the beds she portrays each season.
Social justice and the vindication of women's rights are some of her main interests and are reflected in her cultural references: V for Vendetta, Mónica Naranjo, María Pelae...
For her bed, she opts for a romantic design with floral prints on grey and powder pink backgrounds.
Carla Ferrándiz
The head of marketing and communication at Happyfriday loves dinner with friends, fashion, interior design and dancing. An inveterate traveller, she doesn't ask too much of an exquisite evening: ham, cheese and a glass of wine - from there to heaven!
Carla has decided to choose a duvet set with a "vichy" check pattern in beige and cream tones because she has a small child and another on the way. A sweet and cosy design.
Vicente Albiñana
The financial director is one of the founding partners. Young, passionate about classical music and Depeche Mode, he recalls that the beginnings were hard, but he is proud to have created this great family.
If it were up to him, he would eat pasta and Valencian paellas.
For his bed, he chooses a white design with thick black lines, an example of his beloved Mies van der Rohe's maxim: "Less is more".
Manuel Juan
The brand director has a long career in the textile sector.
His favourite song, La isla bonita by Madonna, reflects the Mediterranean character that characterises him and his work. He is fascinated by the islands, especially the Greek ones - he would escape there all the time!
Like his other colleagues, he is a "100% rice cook" and venerates the rice dishes made by his mother and mother-in-law, the matriarchs of the family!
He is fascinated by the talent of interior designers to create unique spaces and atmospheres in which one would like to live. The bed that makes him happy is sprinkled with neutral tones (white, cream and beige) with very subtle patterns.
Marcela Payá
Another of Happyfriday's designers still remembers the frenzy she felt when she finished recording a cassette of various music to share with friends.
Her creative imagination was sparked off after reading Michael Ende's Momo, and she gradually acquired her own style after being inspired by references such as the Japanese Eiko Ishioka.
Her favourite bed linen is colourful, with a mix of volumes, flat colours and polka dots.
Xavier Linares
His energy as a production coordinator often comes from the indie music of bands like Viva Suecia and Izal.
A lover of films depicting medieval times and hiking in the mountains, he also describes himself as a "rice cooker". In his case, combined with almost anything.
For the anniversary collection, he has opted for elegant bed linen with a plant print in soft colours.
Mari González
A fervent reader and lover of eighties cinema, this young designer loves the powerful landscapes of the north, such as those of Asturias, where she escapes to whenever she can.
As she has two little girls, she opted for a fun, galactic-themed children's bedding - brilliant and imaginative!
Silvia Faus
Responsible for the charming tourist flats of Casa Timoteo, in Alcoy, Silvia knows how to choose textiles that transport you to a world of beauty, wellbeing and relaxation.
Her favourites are those with plant prints on a white background, delicate and pleasant to the touch.
She loves folk and popular music, but also Sinatra and Beyoncé's most danceable tracks. Her favourite place is the village of La Vall de Gallinera, especially in spring. Ideal for getting lost and disconnecting from everything.
The designs of the Diez collection
All these people, their stories, passions and experiences are what make up the "happy" family, those who shape each season collections that seek to create wonderful homes, calm spaces and connect with those we love the most.
