When I was a teenager, the Harry Potter saga left a big mark on me, because when I started reading it the characters were my age and I grew up with them, empathising and sharing with them the feelings and concerns typical of that age, only within a fascinating magical world.

Without a doubt, the film saga that had the biggest impact on me was Star Wars, especially “Return of the Jedi”. What struck me most about this universe was the development of the story on an intergalactic world with new species, each with its own culture and appearance.

I have four special places. Alcoy, my hometown, I love it for its natural landscapes, atmosphere and gastronomy. Calpe is the place where I've been going on holiday since I was a child, a perfect mix of sea and mountains. Bilbao, because I'm an Athletic fan and every time I've been there I've felt like one of them. And Amsterdam because of the special atmosphere that surrounds it, as well as having managed to become a European cultural reference despite being a country with few economic resources of its own.

Eat

One of my favourite dishes is baked macaroni, which I am particularly fond of and nostalgic about because every Wednesday I would go to my grandmother's house for lunch and she would make it for me.

Social, cultural and labour and human rights demands mean a lot to me, and I love it when they are dealt with through music, so groups like La Fúmiga, Zoo, JazzWoman or Ska-P are admirable for how they manage to unite both worlds.

Happyfriday has given me the opportunity to enter the world of textile design and illustration, which is something I love. I have also met some very good friends. When I first started working, the whole company went to Alcalá del Júcar to go on a multi-adventure trip. It was great fun, years have gone by and we still remember anecdotes that happened to us and we still cry with laughter. Happyfriday for me is design, companionship and self-improvement.

I listen to music in a wide variety of genres, depending on my mood. I go from the Ramones to Maria Callas, Ella Fitzerald and even some electronic music. But if I have to choose someone I would choose Mónica Naranjo, with whom I have grown up and sung at the top of my lungs, both in my teenage years in my bedroom and now while I drive and enjoy a moment just for me.

I like to read formats related to the subjects that appeal to me: feminism, photography, film and African-American history, especially articles or essays. I also try to read a couple of classics a year. This year it was The Diary of Anne Frank and Lord of the Flies.

Florence, Italy. Strolling through its streets, enjoying the architectural beauty and, of course, visiting the Uffizi Gallery and seeing for the umpteenth time The Birth of Venus (Botticelli) which, by the way, I also have a tattoo of.

As half Valencian and half Andalusian, I am torn between a good rice dish and an Andalusian gazpacho. The one with the Cordovan recipe, that is.

In photography I have a strong admiration for Annie Leibovitz and the worlds she is able to create with her work. In painting I am inspired by artists of the past and their unique way of seeing reality, such as Boticelli. In the world of cinema I consider Kate Winslet to be a great example for women. And in music I would say María Pelae, a folk artist from Malaga who has lyrics about very current and vindicative themes.

For me, Happyfriday is simply a place to learn and develop professionally, which at the same time is very hard to find. In fact, when it's gone, it's very much missed. I still remember what we had to go through during the pandemic... Coming back to my colleagues in person after so much time at home and teleworking made me realise a lot of things. I spend my days picking up thousands of ideas from fashion, design and interior design magazines such as Elle Decor, AD, Hola or Vogue. However, I'm not very passionate about books... although I do make exceptions for memoirs or biographies of people I find interesting.

Sex and the City. No matter how many years go by I can't stop watching it, I love it! Then I like series or films with historical plots, like Isabel, although if I had to choose one film it would be The Greatest Showman; the costumes, the bso and the plot are wonderful.

I would get lost in Kitzbühel, a charming and classy little town in the Tyrol, in the Austrian Pyrenees; and also in Rome. I would come back every year, without fail, but always at Christmas!

Eat

A plate of ham with cheese and a glass of red wine. For me there is no better pleasure than coming home after a hard day of work or stress, when the little one has fallen asleep, and sitting down with my husband to have a good wine and nibble on some ham and cheese. None of these three things is ever missing at home.

I love classical music in general for my moments of relaxation and I also listen to RTVE podcasts on a recurring basis. I am interested in any cultural or science content and I enjoy it enormously. My favourite album could be any Depeche Mode album from the late 80s and early 90s. And if I have to choose one song from this group, I would choose Behind the wheel. This British band, pioneers of electronic music, always excites me.

“Perfume”, by Patrick Süskind. It was a book that made an impact on me and from which my love of reading began. I always have one or two books on the go, especially novels with realistic themes...

Six Feet Under is a series that I have revisited several times, enjoying the intimate and honest way in which each of the characters is treated. It is a drama about a family that runs a funeral parlour, and deals with themes such as interpersonal relationships, dysfunction, infidelity, personal growth and religion. I'm also very interested in its approach to the subject of death, which it explores on a personal, religious and philosophical level. Fabulous!

“Portixol” Beach, in Jávea, is a magical place, which brings back many personal memories and which I always like to revisit from time to time.

Eat

Spaghetti pesto e tonno. I'm a big pasta lover in general! As long as it's well made, of course... I'm also a big fan of classic Valencian paella, cooked over a wood fire. I'm very good at cooking it and I love to share it some Sundays with friends and family.

Recommend

Ludwig Mies van de Rohe. He was the last director of the Bauhaus, a pioneering school of modern art, design and architecture. His architecture is extremely clear and simple. He is a very inspiring character who is associated with two aphorisms that represent me: "Less is more" and "God is in the details".

For me Happyfriday is, has been and will be a very personal project come true. It means being part of a young team, with a lot of desire and restlessness to constantly improve and from which we learn continuously and mutually from each other every day. Perhaps the beginnings were the most intense and exciting. We had very few resources and a very small team, but the happy little family we formed had a lot of energy and we did incredible things. Optimism, honesty and happiness would be how I would define Happyfriday.

If I had to choose a favourite song, I would choose Madonna's "La isla bonita". The first day I heard it I was captivated. The melody at the beginning of the song captures me. Maybe because I have an "island spirit" that makes any island, especially in the Mediterranean, captivate me. I love to see the sea, from the mountain, to be surrounded by water, and to listen to the rhythm of each island. San Pedro, the beautiful island Madonna sings about, can be any island, anywhere and everywhere, I feel good.

"The Holiday", When I first saw this film, I asked myself, why not? Why not do what the protagonists do? Do I dare? Said and done. I looked for the home exchange website, I made my ad and I had it clear, I wanted to go to the United States, anywhere and surprisingly I started to receive e-mails from people interested in doing the exchange. People from Las Vegas, California and New York who had amazing houses... Can this be true? I decided on a duplex in Manhattan, a family with two children Audrey and Nate came to my house in Cocentaina and for 15 wonderful days I got to live in the heart of New York. I have not repeated this unforgettable experience, but every year, I always watch the film again.

Oia, Santorini, I am fascinated by the islands, and the Greek islands have that magic that I find in many islands, but it is Santorini, without a doubt, the one I like the most. To experience the sunset, in silence, from the top of Oia, on a terrace of any hotel, on the cliff and with a glass of Cava, is an experience I will never forget. Santorini has trapped me for life.

Eat

Baked rice, I declare myself a 100% rice cook. I love rice and whenever I have the chance, I eat rice. I love any kind of paella and rice pudding, but my favourite without a doubt is Arroz al Horno (Baked Rice). I am a fan and I go to restaurants in search of this delicacy. Although I have tried thousands of rice dishes, my mother's and my mother-in-law's are especially good. At home, with friends, or in a restaurant by the sea, rice is a must. My neighbour, David, has a Moorish oven and from time to time, we get together to make a spectacular rice dish, never better said "al horno", which is finger-licking good.

Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Interior Designer. Design, architecture, decoration and interior design occupy a large part of my daily life. I dive in networks, I never get tired of surfing and discovering this fascinating universe. I love hotels, and imagining how the interior designers solve with great success the spaces and transform them into special places. Among them all, I discovered Lázaro Rosa de Violan, an interior designer who seduces me with every creation. In fact, whenever I have the chance, I always stay in one of the hotels he has so successfully designed and visit one of the marvellous restaurants with spectacular interiors with which I feel so identified. I love his unique style, with an exquisite mix of elements that turn any space into a place I wouldn't want to leave.

Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette marked me because of the way she narrated, telling a historical character from a contemporary perspective and from a female perspective. I love film, in fact, I also work in film, I love to know how certain scenes are shot and I love to read scripts. I consider film to be a very affordable means of therapy, for a small price you can go through different emotional states.

The Emerald Sea of Madagascar. It's hard to feel like you're from there, because your skin quickly takes you back to where you came from. My partner is from there and I would stay there to dive for the rest of my life in that Emerald Sea, it is overwhelming.

Eat

Any cheese. The truth is that I love cooking, trying new recipes, eating well, eating with people. It's the excuse for a good get-together. I like everything except capers and "bollit". But when I've been to other cultures, the only thing I've missed is cheese. A cheese shop is a dream for me.

Eiko Ishioka. She was an exceptional Japanese artist. Her background was different, but one day she had the opportunity to design costumes and she became a reference. I admire her authenticity and creative freedom.

Happyfriday has been a very satisfying creative outlet for me. A clamour for what is well done and precious. The pride and joy of having been there since the birth and how my friends have made it grow by dint of dedication and diligence. I have many, from the day they told me about the idea to this very day. There has been much celebration and the most memorable for me was the day I won a smart tv at the company lunch bingo. They have done that beautifully, celebrating every stage, with lots of fun. If you had to define the company in 3 words, they would be; Talent, freshness and pizpireta.

The music I listen to depends on the time of day and circumstances. Mostly I listen to positive music that fills me with energy. I listen to indie bands like Sidecars, Izal, Viva Suecia, Leiva, Xoel López or Guitarricadelafuente, and alternative music like La Fúmiga, Zoo and Auxili among others.

I usually read a book a month and most of its subject matter is related to personal self-knowledge, such as “La buena suerte” by Fernando Trías de Bes and Álex Rovira, a story that invites reflection and willpower. I would like to highlight the sentence: "Only those who get up and look for the circumstances, and create them if they cannot find them, succeed".

I particularly like epic and medieval genre films, and among them I highlight The Kingdom of Heaven. The film is about the struggle of two factions between war and peace, where a clear message of anti-war and integration between civilisations emerges, where the distant wounds of the crusades and all the blood spilled connects us with an unfinished conflict in the present day.

As a nature and mountain lover I recommend the Sierra Mariola, for its extensive vegetation and its wealth of plants and postcard landscapes. Country I choose Andorra, for its high mountains, snow, and good temperature during the summer. Its landscapes make it a perfect country for hiking and running lovers.

Eat

I like rice with things. Whether with meat, wild mushrooms, octopus or seafood. I've been told that I have a good hand at flavouring rice dishes. If there is a type of rice that I love, it is the "bajoques farcides", which are red peppers stuffed with rice and baked in the oven...

Recommend

I admire people with a spirit of self-improvement who, no matter how many problems and no matter how many times they fall, find the motive and the strength to get up again and again. People who always find a reason to keep going. For example, I would highlight Albert Espinosa, KIlian Jornet or Pablo Pineda.

Ever since I was a child I have loved reading, and my literary tastes have adapted to my growth as a person. It is very difficult for me to choose just one book; but there is one that is special because it is the book that got me hooked on reading again after a period without reading: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.

I really like 80s cinema and if it's by Steven Spielberg, all the better. However, if there's one thing I'm an avowed geek, it's the Harry Potter films. In short, to connect in a special way and build a healthy relationship with our children.

Happy Friday is where I started working as a professional designer and where I have developed and grown as a designer. What I value most here is everything related to the human aspect. The trips, the meals, etc. But there is also something very satisfying in seeing how a design you create from scratch takes shape until it becomes a reality and people like it.

En septiembre disfruto preparando mi ensalada preferida: tomates recién cogidos del huerto con láminas finas de higos vernesca, sal y aceite de oliva, si puede ser de la variedad blanqueta. Le combina de cine una copa de "Gurgu Selecció". Si es domingo, fiesta de guardar o queremos impresionar a los invitados añadimos unas láminas de buen jamón serrano a temperatura ambiente y maridamos con una copita de Fondillón. ¡Puro mediterráneo en el paladar!

Placeres sencillos: ver pintura, leer poesía… emocionarse a través de los artistas que han plasmado el alma mediterránea en su obra. Los maravillosos blancos de luz en los óleos de Joaquin Sorolla como Cosiendo la vela, Pescadoras Valencianas o

Hablar

Happyfriday es para mí una oportunidad de aprendizaje constante, y me llevo muchos momentos bonitos, pero recuerdo con especial cariño mi primera comida de empresa con los compañeros. Si tuviese que definir HF con tres palabras, para mí es equipo, esfuerzo y expansión.
