At night, yes: with the lights on inside, it's reversed and you can see in from the pavement. If you need privacy at night, you need a second, denser curtain.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"Can I put a sheer and a curtain on the same window?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"Yes, and it's the most complete way to dress a window. You need a double track, a double pole or two poles at different heights: the sheer goes on the inner line, close to the glass, and the curtain on the outer one. The sheer always stays drawn and the curtain closes at nightfall.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"Which sheer should I choose for the living room?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"Hang the pole as high as possible and let the hem reach the floor: in a fine fabric any break shows, and a continuous drop makes the room look more elegant. And allow plenty of width, twice the pole across all panels, because in a translucent fabric the folds are what you see against the light.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"And for the kitchen?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"A sheer is the right choice for a kitchen, because you need light to work and high opacity is unnecessary. Check that the fabric is machine washable: in a kitchen, textiles pick up steam and grease and are washed several times a year. If the kitchen is open to the living room, use the same fabric and tone on both windows.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"How much fabric do I need?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"Twice the width of the pole or track across all panels. If the sheer is exactly as wide as the window, it hangs tight and flat, like a fly screen; the extra fabric is what forms the folds. Each sheer is one panel, so a standard window needs two.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"Can I adjust the length without sewing?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"Yes. Each sheer comes with iron-on hemming tape: fold the hem wherever you want, place the tape inside the fold and iron it. It stays in place after washing and the seam doesn't show on the outside. It can't be lengthened, so measure first.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"What fabric are they made of?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"We work with several compositions, and each sheer states its own on its product page. They include the linen ones, in a blend of 70% viscose and 30% linen: the linen brings the irregular texture you see against the light and the viscose the drape, avoiding the sharp creases of pure linen. In a sheer, the weave matters more than in any other curtain, because light passes through it and reveals it.\"}},{\"@type\":\"Question\",\"name\":\"Are Happyfriday sheer curtains made in Spain?\",\"acceptedAnswer\":{\"@type\":\"Answer\",\"text\":\"Yes.
